Asthma that occurs as a consequence of a trigger at the workplace is referred to as occupational asthma, here is a list of some of the common causes of occupational asthma:
1) Chemicals present in spray paint which are Isocyanates
2) Flour and grain dust
3) Something called Colophony which is a substance that is part of solder fumes
4) Latex
5) Animals, where the person becomes sensitive to the animal fur hair or feathers
6) Wood dust

Based on the above list people who work as paint sprayers, bakers, pastry makers, nurses, those that work with chemicals and animals, as well as timber workers, welders and those that work in the food industry may ba at increased risk of developing occupational asthma
