Asthma – Asthma Attacks
Common asthma symptoms appear and then start to get worse. It can be representative of an asthma attack. The asthma attack may have a fast onset i.e. the symptoms may worsen rapidly or may slowly and progressively get worse over period of a few days.
There are a number of warning signs that may indicate an Asthma attack. These include;
- The person experiencing progressively worsening severe and constant wheezing, coughing and tightness of the chest
- The level of breathlessness is such that the person cannot eat, speak or sleep
- The persons breathing becomes much faster
- Their heartbeat is notably faster
- The person is drowsy confused exhausted or dizzy
- Their lips or fingers become blue
- The person faints
