Coronary Heart Disease – How can you help someone suffering from a heart attack?

How can you help somebody who is having a heart attack?

The reality is that the majority of us have not received any training on who to help somebody if they should have a heart attack. In most cases the first person at the scene of a heart attack is a family member who is not familiar with what can be done to help. Figures show that less than 1% of the UK population have attended a course that teaches emergency life support.

If you are interested in learning about what can be done to help somebody during a heart attack you can receive training from a number of sources such as:

  1. Saint John’s Ambulance
  2. The British Heart Foundation
  3. The British Red Cross
  4. Heart start
